Tutoring Center Expectations, Preparation, and Policies
Academic Expectations

Tutors will not do your homework for you.
● Tutors are not instructors.
● Tutoring is supplemental to instruction and does not replace attending classes.
● It is encouraged to meet with your instructor before a tutoring visit to discuss assignments and content.
● Comply with the College Intellectual Integrity Policies regarding plagiarism, cheating, and other examples as stated in the Student Handbook.
● If you have questions, talk to an LLT staff member. 

●You must bring your notes, texts, handouts, and other relevant materials.
● You must come to tutoring sessions prepared by reading and reviewing assigned chapters, articles, handouts, notes, and other relevant materials.

Attendance and punctuality are important.
● Consistent absences negatively impact the quality of services provided by LLT.
● Cancellations:
          ● Cancel your scheduled appointment at least three (3) hours before the scheduled time.
          ● Contact the LLT office (614.816.9230) and provide your name, student ID #, tutor's name, course, and time of the appointment.

● No-Shows:
    ● Failure to notify LLT at least three (3) hours in advance of the scheduled session will result in a "no show."
    ● Failure to appear at your scheduled tutoring session will result in a "No Show."

● Repeated cancellations and/or "no-shows" will result in a "lock-out" until meeting with the LLT Director. The LLT office is located at 5815 Forest Hills Blvd.

When in the tutoring center, practice your skills on a designated computer or device.
● Appointment tutoring sessions are one hour.
● Consecutive appointments with the same tutor in a day are not allowed.
● Be courteous and respectful to tutors and support staff.
● Cell phones should only be used for tutoring purposes.
● Tutors can sign for proof of Tutoring Center attendance.
● Food and beverages are not permitted near electronic devices.
● Tutors have the right to end a session if these policies are not followed.
